HoJo Visits Palmer Ave for a Playoff Preview

Howard Johnson, better known to baseball fans as “HoJo,” was a versatile and powerful force during his memorable MLB career, most notably with the New York Mets. A switch-hitting slugger with exceptional speed, Johnson achieved a rare combination of power and base-stealing ability, becoming one of only a handful of players to record multiple 30-home run, 30-stolen base seasons. A pivotal contributor to the Mets’ thrilling 1986 World Series championship team, Johnson continued to dazzle fans with standout performances, including leading the National League in home runs and RBIs in 1991. His blend of athleticism and clutch hitting made HoJo a beloved figure whose impact is still felt today among Mets faithful.
